Using SelfSyncMe means agreeing to these terms. They are short because the app does little on your behalf.
The licence
SelfSyncMe from the App Store is licensed, not sold, to you. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in full, and the terms on this page are in addition to it. Where the two disagree, Apple's agreement governs.
Your notes are yours
The app claims no rights over anything you write. Your notes are plain Markdown files in your own storage; you can read them with any text editor and take them somewhere else at any time, with no export step and nothing left behind.
What it costs
Nothing. SelfSyncMe is free: there is no subscription, no trial and no account, and no feature is held back behind a payment. If a paid tier is ever added it will be for features that do not exist today, and anything you can do now you will still be able to do then.
Third-party services
If you configure an AI provider, your use of it is a matter between you and that provider, on your own account, at your own cost. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for what it returns, what it charges you, or what it does with what you send.
What the app does not promise
SelfSyncMe is provided as is. It includes version history and backups, and those help, but they run on the same device as your notes and are not a substitute for a real backup. Keep your own. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost time or lost profit.
Features that depend on other systems — iCloud Drive, Apple Calendar, an AI provider — depend on those systems working, and can stop working when they change.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law. In particular, recording and transcribing a conversation may require the consent of everyone in it; where it does, obtaining that consent is on you.
Ending it
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Your notes stay where they are, because they were never anywhere else.
