The Mac app is free and distributed here rather than through the App Store, because the features that matter most on a Mac — reading every calendar your system aggregates, capturing the Mac's own audio during a meeting, and a window that floats over a full-screen call — are ones the App Store sandbox does not allow.

macOS

SelfSyncMe for macOS — requires macOS 13 or later, Apple silicon or Intel.

Signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a warning. Open the disk image and drag SelfSyncMe to Applications.

The app checks once a day whether a newer version has been released, by fetching one static file from this site. It sends nothing — no identifier, no version report. Turn it off with:

defaults write app.selfsyncme.mac SelfSyncUpdateCheck -bool false

iPhone and iPad

On the App Store. The notes live in your own iCloud Drive, which is what puts the same notes on your Mac.

The self-hosted web app

SelfSyncMe also runs as a web app you host yourself, for reaching your notes from a browser. It is not a service we operate — see the project's deployment notes.
